Someone described these guys at MAGFest 9 as “like something out of a fever dream” and I thought that was pretty fitting. A lot of people expressed interest in them, but ultimately decided against purchasing them, and probably for good reason! I was inspired to make them after seeing the end movie in Mario Power Tennis: when you win with Shy Guy, he goes up to get his trophy but he stumbles and his mask falls off. Though we can’t see what’s behind the mask because the Shy Guy is facing away from the camera, Mario and Luigi see it, and are horrified! Maybe they saw one of these goblins!
